As a research engineer in the computational breast imaging group I worked with different aspects of AI in breast cancer screening. One part of my work was conducted within the VAIB project where I aimed to leverage knowledge gained from recent prospective studies to simulate clinical implementation options for commercial AI systems. The work also included handling databases and pipelines for data curation and quality control. I also worked with continued development of results from previous research on breast cancer risk from mammograms using deep learning. In this project we packaged research code to a containerized software system capable of processing and storing images as well as displaying the results in a web app. I also worked on further improving the AI models by updating the training protocols and architectures.

At the center for innovation I work with project management in the projects Live Incite and PiPPi. Live Incite is a cooperation between hospitals in Sweden, Denmark and Spain and performs a pre-commercial procurement within the framework of the EU Horizon202 programme. The aim is to reduce complications after surgery by changing lifestyle factors such as consumption of alcohol and tobacco before the surgery by means of an e-health tool and combines knowledge within behaviour science, medicine and IT. I work with project documentation, contact with suppliers and project organisation. PiPPi, Platform for Procurement of Innovation and Innovation of Procurement, is also a Horizon2020 project and an international cooperation effort to build and share knowledge about procurement of innovation and innovative procurement methods. I work with administration and planning of upcoming project activities.

LIVE INCITE is a project within the framework of the EU Horizon2020 which is run by Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset together with Region Hovedstaden (DK), Hospital Clinic de Barcelona and the Karolinska Institute. LIVE INCITE is about innovation within e-health which facilitates involvement of patients in their care and will through a pre-commercial procurement create a digital tool that will make patients quit damaging consumption of alcohol and tobacco before surgery. In the project I work with different administrative tasks such as contact with suppliers, reporting and preparation of evaluation work.
