  In my previous position with Wright Beverage Distributing, I dealt regularly with Polar Beverage as a distributor for their products. Based on that relationship, I was recruited to spearhead Polar’s initiative to promote its 20 oz. bottles of sparkling waters in a 13-county region of western and central New York, a territory that includes Buffalo and Rochester.This product is designed to be featured in coolers near the point of sale in retail establishments for consumers’ immediate consumption upon purchase. I have focused my efforts on convenience stores, pharmacies, and independent deli/bakery operations, some of whom may not have been carrying the product previously.Shelf space for such beverage items is limited and highly sought after. Helping merchants to effectively display Polar’s products in concert with other single-serve beverages has been a key component of successfully marketing our product.In the first eight months in this role, I opened 50+ new accounts and achieved 117% year-over-year growth in units shipped (2017 vs. 2016).
