David Block is a Founding Managing Partner and Head of the Portfolio Operations Group, where he leads the focus on portfolio value creation. He brings over 29 years of experience in strategic development, operational performance improvement and organizational transformation across consumer, manufacturing, distribution, transportation and logistics, eCommerce and other business services.Prior to Hidden Harbor, David served as President and Chief Executive Officer of The SWI Group, a leading fashion accessories distributor and eCommerce company backed by Clearlake Capital. David also served as an Operating Partner at H.I.G. Capital, where he held interim CEO and CFO executive roles, collaborated with deal teams and portfolio company executives to set the strategic agenda and drive value creation plans, senior talent acquisition, and operational performance improvement, including salesforce effectiveness, organizational restructuring, and productivity improvement. Prior to H.I.G. Capital, David served as the Chief Financial Officer of Arise Virtual Solutions, a private equity-backed portfolio company and as a Senior Vice President of DS Waters, a private equity-backed portfolio company, where he led the large scale consolidation of Danone Waters North America and Suntory Water Group to create a standalone company. Earlier in his career, David was a strategy consultant at Bain & Company serving as a trusted partner to CEOs and their management teams, private equity funds, and boards. David held advisory roles to enable companies to drive growth, improve performance, transformation, distressed turnarounds, and conduct deal diligence across a broad range of sectors, business situations and geographies. David started his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen and as an assistant brand manager with Procter & Gamble.David received his MBA from the Harvard Business School and his BS from Miami University of Ohio.
