As a Mathnasium instructor, I teach up to 15 students weekly in mathematics, ranging from fundamental to intermediate. I developed specialized tutoring assistance for students with slower learning capacities. I maintain accurate student records through daily data entry and analysis, and I coordinate with team members electronically to ensure deadlines and expectations are met.

As a Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader for calculus, I was tasked with facilitating student's learning of calculus concepts through planning and presenting four one hour group study sessions per week with games, activities, and exercises to help students understand the material. I attended class with the students and communicated with them through email and in person. I had to market my SI sessions by making regular announcements in class, through email, and through flyers that I produced myself. I kept in regular contact with the calculus professor who sponsored my SI sessions, and I checked in with the SI coordinator and turned in all paperwork on time. I was responsible for inputting my time entry for hours worked. I attended weekly SI group meetings where I collaborated with other SI leaders to practice leadership skills and think of new, innovative session strategies. During SI sessions, I was not allowed to give answers, only redirect students to other resources such as the textbook, their notes, and other students in order to encourage independent thought and study techniques.

As a student assistant for the Tarrant County College Math Lab, I was tasked with providing tutoring assistance to students in classes such as developmental math, college algebra, calculus 1-3, and university physics. I provided courteous, kind, and positive tutoring service to students in need. When there were no students in the lab, I was required to study textbooks to keep my math skills sharp and also to keep the lab organized and clean. I coordinated with other tutoring assistants to ensure the best possible service to students in need. I was responsible for inputting my time for hours worked.

As a Paint Associate for the Home Depot, I was primarily tasked with providing customer service and paint assistance. I was required to have an extensive product knowledge of my department and provide customers with product information. I was responsible for helping customers choose and mix their paint, and offered solutions to customer's painting-related problems and questions. I often individually maintained and organized my department by keeping track of inventory and clearing the aisles of debris and refuse. I was responsible for closing the department several nights a week and preparing for the next day. I hosted workshops to introduce customers to different painting methods and products available to them.
