About David Goldberg

My entry into the tech space happened by chance—and has grown into a career I love. With experience in both fast-growing startups and well-established companies, I've helped lead organizational pivots in on-premise-to-cloud technology and overhaul service delivery processes. I've also been a one-man IT department, handling all hardware and software support, vendor management, and IS solutions as well as compliance for SOC2 certification, CCPA, PCI, NIST, and GDPR.Leading technology teams is my sweet spot, and I thrive in hybrid roles that involve strategizing with company leadership and driving the technological component of the business. I'm adept at moving organizational goals into tactical steps for the teams I lead including DevOps engineers, database administrators, SREs, SysAdmin and network engineers.As a technology director, I'm responsible for all strategic decisions around tech implementation while ensuring enterprise-wide compliance and security.I'm obsessed with continually improving upon a SaaS product's delivery cycle: learning from the data, creating repeatable processes, and lowering operating costs. I speak fluent 'data' thanks to my DBA background, and I leverage my technical and communication skills to translate big ideas and competing priorities into actionable tasks and goals for my team. My management style is collaborative and team-based: colleagues tell me I always have their backs, and I operate under the 'one team, one dream' philosophy. I enjoy creating, building, and mentoring teams and helping people grow in their roles, supporting them along their career path, communicating frequently and openly with my teams, owning and intercepting any missteps, and underscoring the 'why' behind what we're doing.
