Director – Electrification Engineering: 5/2017 to 10/21Responsibilities include: • Manage an engineering team of 30+ (hardware, software, systems and support) for the development, production implementation and post launch support of electronic modules for HEV and PHEV including: Vehicle charging (EVSE, On Board Chargers, wireless chargers, DC Fast Chargers), DC to DC converters, Motor Control inverters and HV Battery interface electronics.• Customer interface and development issue resolution including root cause analysis, 8D, EMI / EMC development, and implementation of best practices.Accomplishments include: • Development and implementation of 5 different products including 1 product first for automotive. Manager – Electrical Systems Division, Advanced Hybrid Engineering: 5/2008 to 5/2017• Lead a team to develop a 3.3kW, 7kW and 11kW Wireless electric vehicle charging system to automotive quality and safety standards• Customer interface, design, development and manufacturing implementation of J1772 Based hybrid electric vehicle charging cables• Work with Fisker to define and develop the Karma low voltage electrical system and select high voltage components.• Awarded development contracts for Wireless Electric Vehicle Charging systems with a path to production award.• Launched the first SAE J1772 based Hybrid Vehicle Charging Cable and continued development of charging cables to improve safety and performance while reducing cost• Awarded a production contract for $50M/year and $10.5M up front development costs for electric and electronic components for a series hybrid vehicleManager – Electrical Systems Division, Advanced Engineering: 1/2006 to 5/2008• Advanced development for the Smart Solid-State Junction Box (S3JB) including technology development, supplier partner coordination, testing and manufacturing.• Patent, Development and Implementation of advanced solid-state controls for the automotive electrical system
