With more than 35 years of experience in the industry, I have cultivated a robust foundation in not only tax and accounting but also firm management and success. After beginning my career at Adams & Muir CPAs, my inherent knack for tax work eventually led me to Hooper Cornell PLLC, where I was steadily promoted from Senior Tax Accountant to Tax Partner during my 22-year tenure at the firm. Before merging with Harris in 2022, my leadership skills thrived as a Shareholder at HH & Associates, Inc (formerly Hooper Cornell), where I successfully managed the firm as the majority shareholder for seven years. My skillset and expertise have intrinsically matured along with his career-long client base in the Treasure Valley, building experience in everything from estate/trust/income tax compliance, planning, and tax audits to 1031 exchanges and mergers and acquisitions. Whether serving an individual, business, real estate professional, a hotel, or a dental practice, my career is marked by decades of strategic leadership, firm development, problem resolution, and a proven history of integrity, quality, and long-lasting client relationships. I was born in Grangeville and raised in Council, Idaho, where he grew up playing high school football and basketball, skiing at Brundage, and running track. While I much prefer a trip to the Oregon Coast over an exotic getaway, I have hopes to one day visit the castles of Scotland to experience the culture and traditions of my family’s lineage. When I am not volunteering in the community or rooting for my beloved Dallas Cowboys, my number one hobby is escaping to our remote family cabin in the mountains with my wife and three grown children.
