We worked with people, cities, communities and businesses to help unlock the just transition to a safe climate future powered by 100% clean, renewable energy.In particular, I led our work on the Zero Carbon Act, successfully mobilising over 230 New Zealand businesses, community organisations and influential leaders to support the Act - and ultimately helping to secure its passage into law, with 119 of 120 Members of Parliament voting in favour at the final vote.I also managed our work to promote Science Based Targets in Aotearoa. The Science Based Targets Initiative is a global partnership between WWF, CDP, WRI and the UN Global Compact. It provides a framework for businesses to set targets consistent with the science underpinning the Paris Agreement. Despite New Zealand's tiny size, we managed to engage enough businesses in setting targets to be the 11th in the world for Science Based Targets uptake. Show less

As CEO of P3 Foundation, I worked to mobilise a generation of young New Zealanders to help put poverty in the past. P3 aims to build a nationwide youth movement to help eradicate extreme poverty before 2030, and to fully achieve the Sustainable Development Goals otherwise. P3 is a movement for development with justice - including social justice and climate justice. From 2011-2013, P3 fundraised powerfully through the Live Below the Line campaign for development partners in India, Tonga, Myanmar and Indonesia - landing over NZ$250,000 on the ground for development projects. Since 2014, P3 has focused on education, mobilisation and advocacy - convinced that young people can play more important roles in ending poverty than as fundraisers.Importantly, in all it's development work, P3 focuses on partnerships. P3 does not do fly-in-fly-out development work, recognising that it is often more disruptive than it is helpful. It focuses on building strong partnerships, both with other New Zealand development organisations and with donee organisations on the ground.
