I manage all aquatics facilities for the city of Saint Paul, including staffing, supervision, budget, strategic planning, customer service, community engagement and development. We successfully recruit, train and develop over 300 lifeguards every summer, and staff our indoor facility year around. On average we serve upwards of 500 a day during the summer and partner with local and national organizations to better deliver our services. Under my leadership the program has broaden its impact, served more people, growth our outreach efforts and increased its prestige and reputation earning accolades and awards on the national stage, more recently being recognized as the first ever National Water Safety Champion. I hold and maintain a Lifeguard Trainer License, Lifeguard Certification, with First Aid and CPR and am a Certified Park & Recreation Professional member.

Futbol for All was born in 2005 thanks to the support of the Hamline-Midway Coalition and Hancock Recreation Center. Since then the Hancock Wolves Team has played every outdoor Fall soccer season and indoors Spring Season serving over 100 children coming from the Midway area and other neighborhoods. The program focus is on building in children the love for the game of soccer on its diverse variations (indoor, futsal, etc.)

I organized and ran a Competitive High School Swim Program at Saint Paul Central Senior High School (the oldest High School in the district) , the season includes pre season strength and conditioning training, performance assessment, technique correction, goal setting, pre and post meets, recovery and taper swim sets, and post season evaluation. Have had winning seasons and took a swimmer to the Estate Tournament. On my tenure on the position I have developed and follow up with a multiyear plan to move the program into the future. Three State Finals Participation: Medley Rely, 100 fly, 100 free, 50 free.I retired with a conference championship, Coach of the Year award, state finals participation and the team grew from 12 to 34 swimmers. Conference 2nd Place. All American Swimmer. Current Records Holder for 100 Fly, 50 Free, 100 Back and Medley Relay.

Besides the obvious soccer specific training, I prepare and implement for the kids joint team lunches, video sessions, fitness and lifestyle choices and all the components of a professional sport team/franchise.During the 2013 season the team played at the section finals loosing to Blake.During the 2014 season the team won its section finals and also were Twin Cities Champions!During the 2015 season the boys won their section finals (again!) and were Twin Cities Champions!

As part of the Federal TRIO Programs (Federal outreach and student services programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds). I am in charge of the Spanish Culture and Language classes, and was honored to have received the "Best Instructor" award by the Summer 2013 cohort students. My classes feature a culturally cognitive immersion approach based on arousing in the students the drive to pursue another language as a means to a better understanding of our current World. Students learn and progress because its a matter of their own choice!

I lead the agency during some of the toughest times for minority led non profits in Minnesota. I was able to recover and maintain an outstanding performance for over two years with the agency. I have over five years of professional practice at higher education settings. I was a faculty member at various universities in Venezuela and at Hamline I have been a student, tutor, staff member, program coordinator, and faculty! The positions I held over time gave a great deal of experience in managerial tasks but also in public relations and conflict management. I have been in charge of productively dealing with diverse students, faculty members and staff.
