Born in Barcelona in 1970, in 1991 co-creates DDT SFX working then in more than 150 projects as SFX supervisor over 8 years. His former company DDT won an Oscar Award for Guillermo del Toro’s "Pan's Labyrinth" Make-Up FX.In 1995 he starts shooting music videos for Latin artists as Miguel Bosé,La Mala Rodriguez,Carlos Santana or Alejandro Sanz.His music videos got until now more than 30 million views only on Youtube.His first fiction short film - DR CURRY, 1996- is nominated at more than 30 festivals and awarded at the CINEMA JOVE Festival of Valencia, the Montreal FANTASIA Film Festival, and as Best Short Film at the Chicago Film Fest.At same time David starts directing ads for brands as Sony Playstation,Coca Cola, Pepsico,Renault, Toyota, Volswagen,Canal+, Cadbury, Mitsubishi,Calsberg or Ferrari on his more than 400 worldwide jobs in Germany,Japan,Italy, the US,Mexico,Qatar,Dubai,Russia,India, UK and of course Spain. His second short -HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2 YOU,2006- was selected and awarded in more than 60 festivals including Best Spanish Short award at San Sebastian Fantastic Film Festival, and Best Short awards both at Screamfest Los Angeles and New York Horror Film Festival getting attention from some Hollywood talent agencies. So, from 2007 to 2011 he's represented first by Endevour and later by Paradigm agencies.Over these years he gets attached to several projects as a modern version of Lewis Carroll ́s "Phantasmagoria" working together with rock star Marilyn Manson; the supernatural thriller "Mile Zero" starring Milla Jovovich, written by James Vanderbilt (Zodiac,The Amazing Spiderman); or the adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' "Lunar Park" produced by Lawrence Bender(Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction) Very unfortunately, none of those projects was finally produced.But in 2012 David directs in Mexico the 1st season of the TV series NIÑO SANTO, supernatural thriller set in the Yucatan jungle starring Karla Souza (How to get away with Murder) written by Mauricio Katz (Maniac,The Bridge) with DOP Gonzalo Amat (Happy!, Man in the High Castle) and produced by Canana Films (Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal’s company) In 2014, he writes and directs for the Qatar Government the short "THE STORM", an epic VFX production including in its crew artists credited in District 9 or Game of Thrones.In 2018 his job for Santander Bank “Formula Rock Contest” got a Cannes Bronze Lion, and as well a Golden Sun at El Sol Festival, just to mention some latests awards.Nowadays David stills keeps directing commercials worldwide, but also trying to get a first movie made!
