I'm David All, a changemaker and storyteller. I see a better future and -- with no small commitment -- am driven by my principles to make it a reality. My life has been a series of pivots, taking me from the halls of Congress to leading global movements in social media and tackling America's man-made disasters with a smile and a story.I've always been drawn to service, a value instilled in me by a family of military heroes tracing all the way back to America's Revolutionary War. I started my career in politics, learning the craft of rhetoric as a speechwriter for Senator Voinovich. I then pioneered the use of social media on Capitol Hill, working with Congressman Kingston, which earned him the title of "Online Politician of the Year" and "King of the Blogosphere." All before Obama made the internet cool.Driven to make a bigger impact, I founded David All Group, a company that revolutionized the way brands, organizations, and even countries used the internet. I had it all: recognition as one of the “Top 10 Changing the World of Internet and Politics”, a multi-million dollar company, and a team of talented individuals. But something wasn't right. The clients I was working with didn't align with my personal values. When asked to take on a bioengineered food company, I refused, ultimately leading to the abrupt and unintended closure of my agency. This was my crucible. A time of loss and deep introspection, where I questioned my path and sought new uses for my skills. I explored entrepreneurship in San Francisco, co-founding a mobile app company, and focused on personal growth and achieving new goals. Eventually, I returned to my hometown of Columbus, where I rediscovered my passion for community building and civic engagement. I founded CivicHacks, a community innovation lab, and WellHQ, a social enterprise focused on addressing the opioid epidemic. Through these ventures, I've organized countless events, helped hundreds of storytellers share their journeys, and worked with institutions to imagine new solutions to America's man-made disasters.Change-making is not a resume builder or a retirement plan. It is the mountain that I choose to climb to live a noble and fulfilling life worthy of my potential and in service to humanity. And so the story continues.
