I possess nearly 30 years of experience, principally in the highly specialized field of logistics management and freight forwarding/customs brokerage. I have provided strategic development of various business lines, managing and educating an expert staff to provide excellent service.i have participated in several activities and some of the most outstanding are:1) I evaluated and re-designed the company’s operational structure, by eliminating duplicated functions and designing, according to the ISO:9001 quality system, the roles, responsibilities and procedures for each position, measuring performance with key indicators, eliminating bureaucracy and creating a more efficient use of time. The results of this re-design were measured in the reduction of operation cost by almost 45%. This success was translated to the rest of the organization and it is part of the annual objectives to maintain the process in a cost-effective ratio without sacrificing service.2) I have led efforts to formalize trough contracts, relationships with key customers. The Laredo branch was awarded an exclusive service contract that remains in effect until August 2025. This contract is credited with raising revenues, both in the United States and Mexico branches by 35% and 15% respectively. Since then I have participated in the negotiations and closing of the most important contracts in Mexico to manage the import and export operations, bringing a combined revenue of 25%.3) I created and implemented the company’s campaign: “Service beyond your expectations”, which is not only a sales tactic, but a customer satisfaction program. This consists in the profiling of all customers, active and potential, to design and build a ‘tailored’ service solution to their specific needs.4) I determined that the company could fulfill new needs for some clients. I designed and implemented the procedures to offer a logistic and distribution center service. In 2009, four major accounts used this service, which represented an increase of 12% of the revenue in the United States branch. Because of this success, in 2010, I was offered the position of Operations Director for the Corporation, overseeing now, all the operations in both branches of the company. In the 2020 organization strategic plan, these services are now considered crucial to the continued operation and success of the company.
