There is a disparity in interest rates between QM/Conforming FANNIE/FREDDIE and nonQM making the later less attractive without benefit to borrower. BTB is critical for the retail MLO to understand and learn to question. The rise of nonQM is not without fluctuation due to the rapid rise in interest rates but this is not a liquidity crisis within the secondary market.
