At Marsh we have a dedicated UK Education practice which provides risk and insurance advice to a range of educational establishments including independent schools, universities, further education colleges and academies.Marsh Education Practice manages premium in excess of £80 million and we have a team of over 110 specialists dedicated to serving the education sector.More than 1,500 independent schools and over 320,000 students and staff currently benefit from our bespoke, enhanced policy wordings and our buying power with insurers.My role is to manage the development team and coordinate all new business opportunities, lead generation and all business development opportunities for the practice.

My role is a UK national business development role with the prime aim of recruiting commercial SME insurance brokers to Marsh ProBroker.I am also responsible for managing the exisitng relationship of selected key accounts.My aim is to help my brokers grow their business by helping them trade with the Marsh insurer panel to ensure development for the broker and business for our insurer partners.

I was responsible for new business and existing premium finance business in Premium First's Southern Region which went from Birmingham to Land's end.In my 4 years as manager the region grew from 26 million to 65 million and from 80 insurance brokers to 200 insurance brokers.I was responsible for managing an account management team of three, setting their targets, KPI's, training and regular 1 2 1's.

I worked for NIG on the commercial insurance team as a development underwriter and then in 1999 i joined their premium finance company, Finsure, as their first ever sales manager.
