Duties & Responsibilities • Manage and the implement the vision for service learning in the Upper School, including maintaining relationships with various stakeholders including administrators, staff, teachers, parents, and community partner organizations• Work with faculty to integrate service learning into the classroom by helping teachers develop and adapt current curriculum, co-teaching classroom lessons related to social issues, and building and maintaining relationships with community partner organizations• Work with students to ensure understanding of all-school drives and activities as well as specific grade level service activities.• Inform students about social issues including but not limited to poverty, hunger, homelessness, aging, access to quality education, and the environment• Oversee and manage Benefacta, a service-based honor society• Plan and organize the 10th Grade service days• Oversee the culminating service project for each member of the senior class• Work in conjunction with the Director of Student life to oversee any service-related student fundraising and corresponding special events• Work in close collaboration with the Director for the Belldegrun Center of Innovative Leadership to further the vision and integration of the Center’s mission into the fabric of the school• Teach a minimum of one semester, including Civic Leadership and Current Events• Serve on the Upper School Administrative Team, the Curriculum Committee, and any ad hoc committees, as needed• Serve as an advisor• Engage in professional and personal development and commit to growth in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion• Participate and initiate opportunities that demonstrate one's growth, knowledge, and skills• Other duties as assigned by the Upper School Director or the Senior Administrative Team

I teach and mentor along with a faculty colleague a group 13 sophomores students from our class of 2025'.

David Andrews Baseball 65 is a leadership and coaching blog and future podcast site. My experience in leadership and coaching roles from my time in the military, corporate sales and education have enabled me to be a passionate lifelong learner. I'm building this site and adding content to it to help inform and educate those involved in coaching baseball at the youth/club, high school and college level become more aware of opportunities for growth as a leader and as a person. I teach my players to humble while being hungry and this site and platform has the same principles applied to it as well.

David used the challenges of the globalcovid pandemic as an opportunity to adapt, innovate and expand his teachingskills and abilities . Conducting classes outdoors on the trails of local mountains inSouthern California while incorporating fitness elements into his curriculum. Hedeveloped outdoor instruction drawing from his own very diverse life experiencein education, military service and working in professional sports. David’s purposeand passion have driven him to pursue educational experiences for the studentsof Brentwood school outside of the classroom and into meaningful activities oflearning and service in the greater Los Angeles community and beyond. He is anexperienced cyclist and triathlete having competed for over a decade in manyevents across Southern California, Nevada and Arizona.

I was trained and certified at Franklin Covey’s Head quarters in their life coach program. I’ve reengaged my skill set to maximize effectiveness and efficiencies in education, service learning stewardship and leadership studies.
