Here I am part of an excellent team developing a desktop application for internal users and a web application used by internal and external users. The web application makes use of.NET 4.0 and Silverlight. I also developed web services and objects for client integration.I introduced the concept of a shared business object library which has reached maturity.

I entered this job to update the company's custom-written business software to.NET. Using OO principles, a well-defined collection of objects made my job easier as the screens and forms progressed. They made creation of inventory web services and an experimental web-based front-end a breeze. The users found the redesigned UI easy to work with and flexible.

At Publix I was part of the Supply Chain team. We were out on the bleeding edge of.NET, where there were more unknowns than knowns. At this time I had my MCSD.NET certification, so I was prepared for full-lifecycle development. Here, I did design applications using UML diagrams and managed development teams working from those documents. I did a good amount.

We did a lot of interesting projects early on. We had accounts with credit unions and manufacturers. We experimented in being an ISP providing DSL access. Our projects were coded with VB 6 and ASP.
