Course: MAE 5332 Engineering Analysis

Leveraging my knowledge of ABAQUS, I developed a comprehensive finite element model specifically for the ASTM D3167 Floating Roller Peel Test at Aerospace Corp. This model significantly improved the department's understanding and interpretation of test data provided by contractors, thereby optimizing decision-making processes and enhancing collaboration with our partners.

I modeled the environmental loads of a tank wall for a NASA study by creating a symmetric finite element analysis using the limited information given and reporting its stress states. Furthermore, I also meticulously documented the manufacturing process of the Centaur V Vulcan's second stage at the ULA Decatur facility. This documentation was compiled into a smartbook, designed to facilitate rapid information transfer to both Aerospace and customer leadership. This task not only showcases my ability to absorb complex processes quickly but also underlines my dedication to fostering seamless communication within a corporate structure.During my summer tenure, I was a GEM Fellow chosen by Aerospace. This prestigious fellowship gave me the remarkable opportunity to present my work directly to the CEO of Aerospace. This presentation not only allowed me to showcase my skills and accomplishments but also underscored the value of my work to the organization's leadership. It was a truly rewarding experience that significantly broadened my perspective and enhanced my confidence in presenting and defending my work.

Utilizing my expertise with SolidWorks, I constructed a robust 3D model of an optical sensor. This model is to serve as a crucial reference in the STOP (Structural Thermal Optical Performance) team handbook, which significantly contributes to shaping future projects and facilitating onboarding for new team members.During the CDC Intern Study this year, I had the privilege of leading the Communication (Space and Ground) team while also playing a key role in the Risk and Reliability team. Our team successfully finalized a communication link budget for a cutting-edge project on interstellar object capture involving two spacecraft. The task required rigorous consideration of various factors including distance, power, weight, and data rate.I also took on the responsibility of scrutinizing potential risks associated with each subsystem, and then assessing the project's reliability based on the Weibull curve and a proprietary CDC tool. These analyses played an essential part in guaranteeing the overall success and reliability of the project.

I was entrusted with the challenge of devising an effective approach for processing substantial volumes of mass properties data, a project aimed at supporting NASA's Mobile Launcher. This undertaking was novel for the Vehicle Engineering Department (VED), as the department did not previously have any established systems for scrutinizing ground support equipment.After a rigorous month-long period of comprehensive research and testing, I successfully formulated a procedure and template that allowed for the streamlined input of batch-processed data. This data was then efficiently organized into clear, easy-to-understand tables.Further enhancing data management, I innovated a system for classifying mass property data by specific categories such as primary structure, electronics, line replaceable units, and more. This refinement considerably improved the modal frequency analysis of the launcher, providing valuable insights to the Aerospace Structures Department.My contribution facilitated the expansion of VED's customer portfolio within the Launch Vehicle sector, thereby reinforcing its position in the industry and paving the way for future growth and customer relationships

As a Teaching Assistant during my undergraduate years at the University of Rochester, I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of Mechanical Engineering while assisting fellow students in their academic journey. I provided guidance and clarification on complex engineering static concepts, and fostered development of critical problem-solving skills.In addition to my instructional duties, I was entrusted with administrative tasks, including grading assignments and exams, maintaining an organized record-keeping system, and efficiently filing student homework and tests. This position required both an understanding of the subject matter and effective management skills, allowing me to make a significant contribution to the academic experience of my peers.

I collaborated with the Mass Properties team to delve into the relationship between a space vehicle's orbit and its percent weight growth throughout the course of the program's development. This in-depth analysis leveraged historical weight growth data from more than 60 distinct programs. The valuable insights derived from our work have the potential to inform and improve future space vehicle development strategies and protocols.

Troubleshoot systems that were not functioning properly by doing series of mechanical tests. Repaired A/C units by changing faulty parts, recharging system with refrigerant, and/or performing preventative maintenance. Installed central heating and cooling systems and commercial refrigeration.
