I have a solid background in news and feature writing in both full-time and part-time positions as well as on a freelance basis. My work has appeared in many UK business and trade publications and in Canadian newspapers and I have years of general news reporting for an American news wire agency.I have interviewed people in all walks of life, from government ministers and chief executives of global corporations to refugees, community leaders and street performers.Apart from Canada, I have lived and worked in London -- where I am now based -- Paris, Istanbul and Skopje in the former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia.Why do I do this work? I love the challenge of trying to understand a situation, what drives people to do what they do, and what it all means for people who are affected by events.
