Originally recruited into a small sales team focussed on the recruitment of new VARs and System Integrators, my role grew into UK electronic commerce strategic sales as one of the founding members of the UK e-commerce team, specialising in the Manufacturing, Life Sciences and Consumer Packaged Goods sectors. As well as guiding both internal and customer strategies for electronic business channels, I also helped the Service Provider sector develop the models which became the basis for today's Cloud Computing.Prior to the E-Commerce team, I spent two and a half years working in the Retail Banking sector helping Sun to develop and deliver its vision of electronic business and assisting companies such as Prudential, Bridge Information Systems and Sherwood International devise and launch their internet businesses. I was also very closely engaged with major internet business initiatives at Nationwide Life, New York Life and CNA Life in the USA.After moving to the Manufacturing sector in 1999, I worked with blue-chip customers such as General Motors, Volkswagen, Airbus, Softlab, PWC, Xerox, Cap Gemini, Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, Deloitte & Touche, British American Tobacco, Eli Lilly and Diageo to build e-commerce and service provider strategies and deliver high-value business solutions.
