I am a skilled manager and scientist with over 25 years working in industry maturing technology for products and processes. I have commercial and strategic experience, working closely with teams forming the business strategy so as to be able to direct and implement a supporting technical strategy. I have led large teams in both a local business environment but also outside organisational boundaries. I report regularly to senior executives in BAE Systems and the progress of the Strategic Central Technology Programme, and am involved in the definition of this programme so that it addresses the needs of a number of lines of business.I have been one of the main organisers of the BAE Systems Technology Conference. The conference aim was to influence the key technology stakeholders of the technology community of BAE Systems. This included the Government, MoD & Home Office, the academic supply chain, and Small Medium size Enterprises. My main area of technical expertise is that of polymer and composite technology. I have over 30 external publications and in excess of 70 internal reports.
