Leveraging my technology background I helped to instantiate many new SD&C practices meant to increase the quality of our output. Most notable of these new processes is the effort around data quality. We have taken the common interface mapping and transformation requirements gathering to a new level of completeness. Mapping data quality from the onset helped NMF avoid the larger catastrophic data issues the MMA program faced.Technology notes: NMF is a full service ASP solution requiring the design and deployment of a highly integrated network solution. I was one of the first hired by KPIT when the Internet was just becoming mainstream for KP. I was first chartered to deliver a World class infrastructure to host our primary portal KP.org. Part of my continuous role was the continued evolution of the Web infrastructure including: 3 generations for KP.org, the National Shared Infrastructure, and the Clinical Web Infrastructure. In 2000, my team and I were responsible for the deployment of more than 150 Web applications within Kaiser Permanente. I started the WDG Application Engineering team as the demand for Web development began to peak. The objective for the team was to provide Web engineers for all Web projects within KP. The Web engineers would lead the design of these projects, and ensure their compliance to standards and practices. The team was responsible for dozens of successful development and deployment projects. The engineering team was also responsible for drafting the Web development best practices, development standards, and common code frameworks applied to all Web based projects.Technology notes: Multi-tier Unix architectures: Load balancer (Network Dispatcher), HTTP (IBM Apache), Application Server (WAS), DB (Oracle, UDB, SQL Server).
