The role of a trustee includes, but is not limited to: advising the President on appropriate matters, assisting and advising the Vice President for University Relations on advancement programs, developing policies, procedures, guidelines and long-range plans for the operation of the University of Maryland College Park Foundation, overseeing the financial affairs and investments of the Foundation, and serving as advocates on behalf of the University of Maryland with external constituents of the University.

While I was there, I:- wrote some code for the QPX airfare search product (lisp)- created the first version of the seat availability system (C++)- was COO from 2000-7, and, in that capacity: - launched our first travel agency customer, Orbitz, and our first airline customer, America West - built out the operations and customer relations teams - managed all software development - oversaw day-to-day operations - negotiated many business deals - deepened our partnerships with the world's biggest airlines - strengthened our relationships with our travel agency customers - helped guide strategy and cultureITA was an incredible learning experience for me, and a time in my life I will never forget.
