I love problems! Actually, I love creating solutions to problems!Excel was the tool of choice to organise my CD / DVD collection when I was in school. I loved learning new formulas during Uni and my first jobs - especially when it helped with something I wanted to do at home. My family tree is on Excel via hyperlinks (and way more readable than the usual flow chart).Years ago, during a pub quiz, a friend read me SQL code which immediately grabbed my attention and set me on a new trajectory. While it might not be everyone's cup of tea, I revel in efficient code that can convert millions of data rows into something succinct and readable.Currently, it's SAS code. I'm an artist with ETL automation. In the middle of the night, a server in Glasgow starts my job for me so when I open my laptop in the morning, my work is ready to be checked/published. Now that's something everyone can enjoy!Outside work, I love film, family and games. Always up for a blether in a café - especially with good cakes.
