As a technology entrepreneur with many years of management and corporate experience, I founded a high technology start-up while building and establishing a large addressable commercial market for the spectral imaging technology. Target markets are primarily Remote Sensing (including Defense), Machine Vision, and high performance custom spectrometers for OEMs. These efforts led to considerable success culminating in the Company's acquisition by a prominent private equity firm. The company’s success was driven by a passion for innovation, strategic growth, sound organizational development, and creating an engaging company culture for successful business results and employee community engagement.Aside from consistent effort and focus, my personal mission of building a successful company and establishing a baseline standard for industry leadership included leveraging strong customer and supplier partnerships, creating advantageous opportunities to get out in front of the technical community (invited speaker and chair for industry groups, technical conferences), writing and publishing relevant industry articles and research papers, and establishing numerous patents for defensible technology positions.My current interests are to leverage my expertise in two key areas:1. Selective investments and Advisory Board / Board of Director roles - I am interested in continuing to make strategic investments in select technology start-ups while serving on their Boards. My focus on angel investing, providing guidance on strategic planning and organizational development, coupled with practical experience in coaching and problem solving adds significant value to entrepreneurs and CEOs.2. Philanthropic Endeavors - Through personal engagement and our private foundation, I am dedicated to supporting community service organizations and specific non-profit initiatives that have meaningful, measurable impact within the community. Prior to founding my own company, I gained extensive experience within venture-funded technology start-ups primarily through executive management of customer-facing functions across a global footprint; the focus being creating strategy, building teams, delivering predictable financial results.
