After completing my Bachelor of Business, I began my career working in a variety of supply chain roles for industry leading companies such as Electrolux and Linfox. Commencing at entry level positions and progressing to positions of responsibility taught me a great deal about the industry and the attitude that was required for success.Moving into a management position with SRT Logistics, I not only managed the day to day operational processes and procedures, I also managed the people that drove the business. Taking on the Victorian OH&S Representatives role gave me a focus on staff well being and safety.In late 2011 I left the logistics industry to move to New Zealand, supporting my wife on a 2-year contract. While in Auckland I studied, worked and spent considerable time weighing up my next pathway, which would be into the workplace training and education sector in early 2014.Using my theoretical knowledge and employment experience, I am continually developing my training and gaining a greater understanding of RTO/AQTF regulatory requirements and compliance.While finding the work at times challenging and always rewarding, whether training at workplaces, job seekers or those with disabilities. I still find the same satisfaction from the completion of courses, to encourage and motivate individuals and organisations to facilitate change and achieve the results they are working towards.In late 2015 after many discussions with a longtime friend and colleague, consolidating our parallel attitudes and values, the idea was born to create a company that ultimately assists individuals and organisations.The Mental Health Education Group is the fusion of my beliefs and need to educate, raise awareness and make positive change in the area of mental well being.
