A Houston native, David Atkins has quickly become one of the Bayou City’s most successful residential realtors and currently holds the number two position for real estate sales during 2020 for Martha Turner Sotheby’s International. He makes it his goal to give 110 percent to each client and dedicates his career to “Raising the Bar of Expectation” in the real estate arena. After studying buyer reactions to homes, Atkins noticed that people were drawn to well-furnished properties. That inspired him to elevate the level of service not seen in the industry by furnishing and staging his client’s homes. Unlike dedicated home stagers, who charge a premium, Atkins provides this service at no additional cost to clients, proving to sellers that he is fully invested in securing a sale. An accredited staging professional, Atkins typically executes whole-house staging, including make-ready needs like fresh paint or reflooring, as well as providing recommendations to increase curb appeal. Over the years, Atkins has accumulated enough furniture and home styling inventory to fill a 13,000-sq.ft. warehouse. Not only has Atkins proven that he can sell a home faster and for a higher price than most realtors, the same care and consideration goes into efforts put forth when he is representing a buyer. He carefully considers his client’s needs, desires and dreams and then educates them about current market trends and historical data. With career sales totaling close to a quarter of a billion dollars, Atkins is able to share with his clients the wisdom he has gained as a result of countless transactions, thus benefitting them during the buying, selling and development process. Once a buyer has found their dream home, Atkins works tirelessly to negotiate the all-around best terms. In addition to being a member of the prestigious Circle of Excellence at Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty, he is proud to have served as Director of the Texas Association of Realtors, as well as the Geographic Central District representative for the Houston Association of Realtors. In 2021, he joined the Board of Directors of Houston Children’s Charity.
