"We Design, Build and Maintain Food Production Facilities and Processes"David started at Wiley as a Trainee Site Manager in 2000, having already commenced his Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management) at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Over the following 4 years, David not only completed the Degree but also a Carpentry Apprenticeship. In his final year at QUT, David was awarded the "Baulderstone Hornibrook - Award for Excellence in Construction Management".David then spent another 2 years as a Site Manager for Wiley across a range of projects including:- Beef abattoirs- Value added meat processes- Fresh vegetable processing- Cold storage- Large scale baking- Smallgoods- Dairy processing- Commercial fitouts- Executive residences- Data storageFollowing this, David transitioned to the Wiley Head Office taking on various roles from Contract Administration through to Project Management and is currently working in this capacity over a number of projects. Career highlights include:- Australia's largest smallgoods facility - 21,000m2 production, 3,000m2 administration, 8,800m2 chiller and loadout, 9,400m2 freezer- Edible oils refinery upgrade - highly complex project over multiple work areas with a high degree of interface with production. All packages, including a full site upgrade of electrical and refrigeration, were delivered on time with no loss in productionOver the years with Wiley, David's project teams have received numerous awards as recognition for the hard work, dedication and excellence displayed.
