Developed innovative solutions to healthcare problems:During a 2024 demo to stakeholders, I showcased the groundbreaking capabilities of the Domain Expert Agents proof-of-concept, which identified data required to determine physician metrics across synthetic datasets, modeled after internal Vizient databases. This demonstration centered on answering the complex prompt: "Provide me a list of physicians who are contributing the most to our longer length of stay in the ICU and the labor productivity by staffing time." Utilizing LLM agents, we successfully addressed this challenge, demonstrating the practical and transformative potential of AI-driven data insights.I was the primary presenter of this software demo, and I was a key contributor on a team of 4 engineers who implemented this complex functionality. Colleagues praised the presentation as a major breakthrough, highlighting its innovation and potential to revolutionize data analytics. The demo’s success was pivotal in securing stakeholder confidence, gaining approval for the Chiron project’s Detailed Product Plan, and expanding the team to include additional development resources.Achieved results on a growing team:The Chiron project moved quickly with a larger team. We started development work in April 2024, and we released a Beta version to production in November 2024.In my current role as a full-stack software engineer, I am developing an AI software application (Chiron) as a member of the Generative AI team, which includes 10 engineers. We are using OpenAI GPT models, Langchain, and LLMs (Large Language Models). The software application has an Angular front-end, a Python and Kotlin back-end, and a MS SQL database. For cloud storage, we are using Azure, and for code repositories, we are using Azure DevOps (ADO).I have experimented with proof-of-concepts that use the following technologies: RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), vector databases, routers, and agents.
