Computer programmer / Systems Analyst / Systems Administrator / Techo-MageProgramming Languages: I am fluent in PHP, Javascript, Perl. At one time I grokked Cobol, Fortran, Pascal, and IBM 370 assembler. I can do C and C++ but I find them unpleasant to work with. I've dabbled in Forth, Postscript (yes it's technically a programming language.) , Modula-2, and Erlang. I've toyed with Python, and look forward to the day I have a reason to learn Ruby. I know my way around the Win32 command language, and hope to have an excuse to learn PowerShell. I can script in Bash or any other similar variant of Unix Shell Scripting but when you've got PHP handy why bother. Operating Systems: On the 'Nix front I prefer FreeBSD, but can function in most any variant, prefer to wing it in the shell versus using X/11 apps when doing sysadmin work. On the desktop I prefer Macintosh, but understand the need to be "functional" with Windows in it's various incarnations.Never really grew out of the two-year-old's need to ask "Hhy?"... Hope I never do. Learning to "suffer fools gladly"... Most notably myself. Always learning, discovering, doing, anything else is death.
