My main forte is in a Clerk of Works role whereby I take on projects from clients that have got into difficulties with their builder and work with the client and the builder to resolve all issues to a satisfactory compliant conclusion, I also take on projects with the conservation and preservation of Grade II Listed buildings, advice on listed building repair is a key part of my portfolio of services. I will also take on property surveys under the ICWCI (standard or intrusive) together with any other building related issue that requires my services.I have and do manage the rectification of a renewable energy project where the client has had installed all conceivable renewable energy saving systems that he could. There are many items to address on this project to correct the existing work that the client had carried out, the main issues are the circulation of the Solar Panels, the circulation of the grey water from the harvesting tank and the EWI and rendered finish but to name a few. There are also standard building issues that are not up to best building practice coupled with landscaping, another very interesting challenge.

Eco Rebuild, Hagley,West Midlands

My work here consisted of the rebuild of a large percentage of the Eco- Build Property, this was not only to get the works compliant but the property had to work efficiently, it also involved making structural alterations to install a personal lift and a car stacking lift. The rectification works were quite involved and took time to complete as the client and his family were living in the property.

I was called in to complete the project management work and to compile a report on all the construction work that had been carried out, the work was good but not to best building standards and neither did it have a quality finish. This was important due to the fact that the Black Country Food Bank it run by volunteers of which some had disabilities so the facilities had to be correct. It also had a fast approaching move date from their other warehouse in Halesowen. Working with the able volunteers and to a programme of outstanding items the move date was successful as a local food distribution warehouse were moving the food from the one warehouse to the other and only had one day to complete this task as a gesture of good will, all went well and they can now continue to feed and clothe 45,000 people per year.
