Senior Brand Marketing Manager

Stoopid Buddy Stoodios

Becoming a part of the Stoopid Buddy Stoodios family was a major turning point in my career. Working alongside such an inspiring group of creators helped spark a number of creative flames as the key marketing specialist for the studio.Marvel's M.O.D.O.K. is easily one of the largest projects we've ever worked on, and one of the first that I helped the Stoodio actively become involved with the client's marketing plan. We were able to become a key part of Hulu's marketing, and I was able to help bring an additional $73,000 in additional work for Stoopid Buddy through various M.O.D.O.K. related projects. In a similar vein, we were able to acquire a $15,000 budget from Comedy Central to help bolster our behind-the-scenes effort and boost visibility for Blark & Son, one of our first ever online specific shows. On joining the Stoopid Buddy team, engagement on socials across the board was low. Comments and messages were going unresponded to, and posts were very self-serving. Setting aside time on my daily calendar to make sure I was engaging with followers and responding to comments helped us raise our follower count from 3,000 to 18,000 followers, organically. While engagement rates increased from 2% to 9% in just under 12 months. I was able to curate a friendlier voice for the Stoodio and ultimately made our accounts one that our followers were eager to engage with.On a recruitment level, I helped formulate an outreach program for 10 colleges in which we spoke with recent and soon-to-be graduates to inform them of Stoodio career opportunities. I also attended CTN Expo and Lightbox Expo in 2018, 2019, and 2020 to represent Stoopid Buddy Stoodios in front of students that were soon to graduate.

Brand Manager

The Sword Experience

Effectively lead Social Media initiatives to brand and position exhibition and training events for martial arts and stunt choreography devised by Adrian Paul (Highlander TV series). I helped break the Sword Experience onto all major social accounts - Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Helping amass at least 1000 followers, organically, within the first month. From there it was integrating into a network of sword and martial arts enthusiasts to help build the brand. I was able to connect with groups in Chicago, New York, Phoenix, Stuttgart, and Manchester, New Hampshire to help the Sword Experience gain a worldwide following. On furthering the success of the Sword Experience, we adapted to the monkey wrench that COVID-19 threw us, and took our in-person events online. Through heavy promotion and engagement, the Sword Experience Patreon gave new life to the Sword Experience, providing supporters with weekly training techniques, as well as brand new rewards like Highlander commentary from Adrian, discounts, social shout outs. It all came with a free weekly podcast that has since amassed anywhere from 200-500 weekly downloads, that I co-host, and still continues to the present day.

Hollar has one of the most welcoming atmospheres I've ever worked in, and they actively seek your input and ways to make the company grow.Daily I play with toys, get up close with fragrances and nail polishes, make sure toiletries are bathroom ready, and tinker with backyard necessities, all to make sure the copy on our site is accurate and the customers know what they want. Every day is a grab bag of "Oooh, this looks fun." And I get to catalog it all.In just the first six months that I worked for Hollar, I was honored when I was asked (and said yes) to co-host regular PDP videos, Facebook Live streams, and co-represent the company at E3 2017 (that last one has always been a personal dream of mine.)Hollar is a company that knows how to treat their employees, and they really do recognize the potential of each individual. While I left Hollar as a full-time employee in early 2018, I still come back from time-to-time as a freelance copywriter.

Since my time in day care, video games have been a major pastime for me. Growing up, my fascination never waned, and now I would love to make a career focused on the expanding industry. That VideoGame Blog gives me the chance to show what I can do when writing for a more mature audience compared to Fanlala. Now that I get to write on press releases directly from the big names, I have a much clearer idea of how the inner workings of the industry function.

Pool Co-Manager, Head Guard

Village Of Algonquin, Illinois

Working eight summers at my neighborhood pool has given me great experience working in a leadership position. Keeping a level head with hundreds of patrons on deck and a full staff of part-time lifeguards and cashiers is a daunting task, but I was able to maintain a positive attitude and atmosphere every day I came in to work.
