The Future Print Business Transformation project was a federally funded National Workforce Development Fund initiative (NWDF) focused on the Printing industry, aiming to assist its businesses cope with a period of unprecedented technological change that has seen the sector rapidly evolving from a manufacturing sector focus to a services provider being constantly challenged by new players, technologies, and business models. Project Advisors assisted businesses in the printing industry to make this transition by:• Providing businesses with change management advice• Conducting workforce development planning• Coordinating the placement of staff into subsidised full qualifications and targeted skill sets. • Developing appropriate training courses as required by employersI also had Project Management and administration responsibilities including reporting, key stakeholder management, document management, budgeting and forecasting, and Advisor and RTO liaison.

The Future Print AAA initiative was a federally funded project seeking to revamp the apprenticeship model for the Printing Industry, by piloting a competency based progression model (as opposed to the traditional 4 year 'time served' model) for the four Printing Industry trades to create a sustainable training model and blueprint for future training.Project Advisors provided employers with:• Apprentice recruitment, shortlisting and selection assistance• Independent training plan advice, recommendations and review• Apprentice mentoring and employer / supervisor coaching• Transition assistance to a competency based model. It is expected that the recommendations including the adoption of the project developed 'Industry Progression Benchmarks' will be implemented as an Industry validated model for printing industry apprenticeships nationally.
