Our electro-chemistry focuses are on lithium, sodium, and solid-state, from cell testing through product development and into manufacturing. This encompasses module level to full pack and system level design, including the development of the battery management systems and associated SW controls. Our industry applications range from industrial mobility, and grid-tied clean energy systems, to light electric vehicle applications. I am responsible for putting processes in place for engineering controls of product development and commercialization of battery products that are compliant and certified to UL, SAE, CE Mark, and other safety listing agencies. Areas within our engineering scope include mechanical, electrical, system, software, quality, certification, program management, and initial production. In addition, I provide direction and oversight of CAR Technologies testing laboratories, which is a tier-one supplier to the automotive industry for cell certification. My other responsibilities include oversight and guidance for Acculon’s effort of ISO 9001 certification up to and including the manufacturing of modules and packs.
