CurrentFedcap was founded in 1935 with a mission to create opportunities for people with barriers to move toward economic independence as valued and contributing members of society. Fedcap's work is divided into four practice areas – Education, Workforce Development, Occupational Health and Economic Development. Our innovative approaches help individuals with barriers – including children with special needs, veterans, homeless people, senior workers, formerly incarcerated individuals, youth transitioning from child welfare or involved in the juvenile justice system, and people with intellectual/developmental disabilities - achieve long-term economic independence through sustainable employment and career advancement. Today, Fedcap and its family of agencies - The Way to Work, Wildcat, ReServe, Community Work Services, Granite Pathways and Easter Seals New York – is expanding this work throughout the nation and overseas.
