As an Attorney, debt buyer and portfolio manager I am currently providing recovery litigation, legal outsourcing and portfolio management services for my own account and to clients in both the commercial and consumer markets. As the Student Loan Attorney Manager I proactively and effectively managed a Network of 200+ Collection Law Firms throughout the US. The Network contained 2-8 firms in each state. My primary client was Sallie Mae. When I entered the position the Network was remitting approximately 270K per month for this client and NCO ranked #3 in Sallie Mae’s Legal Collections. Within six month’s I increased the Network’s monthly remittance to over 550K and NCO became Sallie Mae’s #1 Legal Collector. NCO remained the top collector for Sallie Mae up to the time I departed in August 2008.Responsibilities included:• Marketshare – Distributed the client’s legal collection inventory to the firms in the Network. Utilized Champion Challenges to increase performance and create competition among the firms.• Compliance – Responsible for the review of firm audits and the implementation of corrective measures to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations. Conducted regular monthly conference calls with all firms, on-site inspections, training at firms and annual firm reviews at the annual Attorney Network Conference.
