Architected the OV Ads telemetry pipeline for real time data collection of video quality metrics and Dynamic Ad Insertions (DAI) metrics for all streaming devices through the signal pipeline. This includes hundreds of streaming sources through the thousands of edge servers to millions of devices in the field (STB’s, TVs, mobile devices, and PCs). Our software processes over 4 terabytes of DAI data every 24 hours with millions of data points captured in Prometheus, Elastic Search, and S3 (long term retention). We render this in a unified set of dashboards using Grafana which pulls together data from a multitude of data sources for charting and alerting. DAI generates over $1B of ad revenue for DirectTV annually. Our architecture is a critical component of this overall ecosystem that ensures all points of failure in the system are measured and monitored continuously. Worked as a volunteer on the SCAHA board to help modernize their web site and back office processes. Over the years are performed the following services and support:• Transformed existing form-based website onto a LAMP / Tomcat/ JSF / mail enabled workflow application in 90 days. • Supports over 10,000 customers and 20 clubs and tracks all aspects of Hockey registrations, games, statistics, scheduling, declarations, and league documentation. • Completely replaced the paper-based registration process with an online workflow system that uses roles, restrictions, and routing for document approval and management. • Provide a common repository for all league related data- current and historical.• Developed a software scheduling tool that manages the scheduling of 270 teams across 23 clubs and 12 divisions resulting in over 2000 games across the entire Southern California.

IBM Corp: Our Company designed and implement IBM’s flagship internal re-engineering project called OIM/PDH that created a single reusable component-based repository for all of IBM’s product and software offering information in all applicable languages. This system managed all of IBM’s Product Offering Information for the entire hardware division – worldwide. (ThinkPad, AS/400, AIX, Z-series, Blades, etc.) and acted as the single authoritative source for all IBM commercial based offerings on every customer facing website and e-commerce site. This system was used from late 90’s through 2012 (approx. 12 years).Toshiba: Our Company designed and implement an entirely new supply demand planning system that created a spreadsheet metaphor in java, and split planning duties by team based upon workflow rules. The process would roll up all the data by product, product family and mesh that into sales history to create trends for analysis and eventual demand orders placed against Toshiba factories worldwide. We also developed a set of BI tools that provided KPI’s for the executive team, that measured turns by product, average days on hand, average days to sell, Holding Costs, lead times, rate of returns. These were near real time measurements which was a departure from their usual delayed snapshot reports.Unisys Corp: Over the course of 8 years, worked on several critical projects.• Worked to Integrated all back office and operational systems between Unisys and Convergent Technologies (recently purchased company). This included MRP, Financial, CRM, MLM, and associated BI metrics.• Worked to implement an automated Warehouse Control System that leveraged Edge computing and wireless hand-held devices throughout their domestic based facilities (12 facilities) – 12 months - $1M budget per site.• Worked to deploy MS mail corporate wide across 16 domestic sites in 14 months.
