With over 30 years experience in the IT industry, I have held a variety of senior technical, development, support and marketing roles. This combination of strong client-facing and technical abilities allows me to deliver robust systems that provide an exceptional fit to customer needs.Major projects that I have designed and developed include:• The Q-PERM permit to work and control of contractor software package - a market-leader that is deployed in a wide variety of major businesses and public sector bodies.• The Q-VISIT visitor management system, featuring full integration with the permit to work software.• A suite of bespoke management software that substantially automates the client’s administration and allows them to operate extremely efficiently and with no separate administrative staff. This requires a sophisticated system of remote database synchronisation through a web service, to allow users travelling round the world to use their systems in real time with bi-directional synchronisation of databases.• I designed and let the implementation of the “Latches for Windows” security suite which was the core of IT security strategy for a number of very significant secure operations around the world including government departments, MOD establishments, NATO, US Navy, US Police and others.• A suite of computer benchmarks that for several years formed the core of the procurement process for a number of major UK corporations.
