By developing and nurturing relationships with key players at each bank/credit union, we were able to provide them quality service at a competitive price point. The ability to turnover appraisals with speed and accuracy within an extremely demanding time in the CA real estate market, not only earned us a solid reputation with our clients, but we were also able to cut out any competitors as well. The president of our largest client would share with me at the weekly luncheon catered by DBS, that he'd been solicited by dozens of appraisal management companies and had given them all the same answer...."were good, we've got DBS" We managed to deliver an average of 175 appraisals per month consistently for over 7 years. With a staff of 8-10 appraisers and one supervisor, I can safely say that we never had any compliance issues or any other issues due to our streamlined process with many checkpoints to cover any potential errors. When the government regulations changed and independent appraisal management companies were no longer allowed to do any appraisals, our company had no other choice but to shut down. All appraisals had to be ordered through the lender that was providing the loan.
