I am a scientist with experience working in and leading cross functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. I translate real world problems into scientific questions and science based results back into applicable solutions. I have an in depth knowledge of physics and chemistry that I have leveraged to be successful in such diverse areas as aerosol science, modeling and simulation, analytics and sensory science. I started my scientific career as an experimentalist, developing instrumentation and carrying out experiments. I transitioned from a laboratory scientist to an applied theorist and modeler, still using my experimental background to design and conduct (through others) the experiments needed to validate my models or develop the data to build a model. I have also transitioned from an individual contributor to a group and project leader. Over my 15 plus years of industrial research and development experience I have had the opportunity to work cross functionally, translate highly technical concepts to a general audience, influence without authority and mentor numerous talented individuals. I thrive of difficult problems and like to add value for those I work with and for.
