Automotive professional that's first position was as a cashier in a dealership body shop. Worked in about every job in body, service, and sales. Joined Autoflex Leasing in 1985 as a Leasing Specialist. I was made the Sales Manager two years later, then Vice President of the company in 1997. I was made Managing Partner in 2009 and held that position until my retirement from the company in 2019. Currently I consult with companies in the automobile industry regarding compliance and improving sales management. I am also on the Texas Motor Vehicle Department’s Motor Vehicle Industry Regulatory Advisory Committee. I have served in various posts on the State and National Board of the National Vehicle Leasing Association since 1988. I was elected the President of the NVLA in 2006-2007 and served as the Legislative Coordinator from 2009-2016. I was asked to stay on the Executive Board of the NVLA from 2009-2018. The NVLA recognized my service and accomplishments by awarding me the Clemons, Pender Award In 2014. I've worked for the automotive industry as a lobbyist on a state and national level. I also served as a resource witness for the Federal Trade Commission. They chose me as the Consumer Leasing Representative when they held their Consumer Panels on automotive leasing. I hosted a weekly radio show, The Saturday Morning Test Drive, on the local Entercom affiliate from 2004 to 2020.
