Dave Levine was accountable for the pricing, marketing, and sale of custom digital projects, editorially independent programs, and special offerings in collaboration with BMC’s business development teams. His responsibilities include working with clients and internal teams as a resource in the ideation, development, pricing, proposal, and contracting of unique digital promotion vehicles and custom offerings. He collaborates with internal teams to ensure that clients, readers, and web visitors receive the content and quality they have learned to expect from BMC.Dave also managed the negotiation and execution of Master Services Agreements and Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure Agreements with BMC’s client companies. In addition, he served as “de facto'' compliance officer, making sure that BMC’s proposals, programs, and projects were in compliance with US and global regulatory requirements, and managed ongoing internal training to ensure compliance.Dave considers his greatest accomplishment at BMC to be helping spearhead the transition from print publisher to multimedia powerhouse. When the global COVID-19 pandemic struck in 2020, he led a quick and extensive effort to pivot BMC into an essential news source for vision professionals and ensure revenue was not impacted.A graduate of Rutgers University, for almost 40 years Dave has developed unique approaches to content, design, and delivery of educational, training, and marketing programs in medicine and health care. As Partner and Executive Producer of Media By Design in Princeton, he specialized in creating and managing content and formats that made highly clinical and technical subject matter clear and understandable to the target audience, whether they were physicians, medical imaging technologists, sales representatives, patients, or the general public. As a long-time consultant to Siemens Medical Systems, he helped move the bulk of clinical applications training in MRI, CT, ultrasound, and x-ray from in-person to multimedia formats. He has managed educational and/or marketing initiatives for dozens of major pharmaceutical and medical device brands.
