Charm Health is a venture capitalist backed, health care, eHealth software development company. With a Board mandate I assumed the position interim CEO and led a transformation which included:• Led a customer re-engagement program focussed on rebuilding lost customer revenue streams.• Renegotiated interim financing facilities and co-led a capital raising process.• Led M&A due diligence projects including the introduction of corporate governance, company secretarial and risk management processes.• Restructured the business and reset the cost base to a cash positive position.• Renegotiated all supplier/services arrangements, negotiated a new property lease agreement reducing costs by 20%-40%.• Streamlined financial systems, automating and accessing the full functionality of existing ERP systems, improved board reporting accuracy, credibility and content.

DPSA Group was mining services, engineering and electrical services group of companies catering to the Australasian resources and industrial sectors. With private equity/investment bank backing operations are based in Brisbane, Central Queensland, Hunter Valley and Perth. Whilst CFO I was also concurrently CEO of the MEM Group, the engineering division of DPSA which has engineering facilities in Rockhampton and Mackay.• Saved $400k pa by decentralising a Group’s finance support functions. • Led an overhaul and integration of two mining services businesses. Rebranded, merged the sales resources, improved workshops efficiencies and leveraged the complementary services to present a total capability offering. Increased revenue and improved margins by 25% resulting in a 75% increase in profitability.• Led a corporate restructure which reduced debt by $9m and $2m in overhead costs. Restructured and positioned the operating businesses for divestment. Developed information memorandums, provided due diligence materials, negotiated sale agreements and refinanced the residual debt.

PPI was a private equity backed manufacturer and supplier of garden watering products eg. hoses and fittings under the NETA brand, along with irrigation and agricultural polyethylene pipe. Larger diameter polyethylene pipe is manufactured for the mining, infrastructure and energy sectors.• Negotiated a $34m banking facility and an $8m equity injection during the ‘GFC’.• Reduced the monthly reporting cycle by 60% by re-engineering the management reporting systems and automated processes for accounts consolidation, purchasing, raw materials control and MRP/production planning by implementing core ERP modules.• Developed and implemented a 3-year IT strategy for the business covering hardware and infrastructure upgrades and ERP refresh.
