My three primary duties are: 1/ Complete responsibility for ensuring company profitability. This is achieved by setting challenging yet realistic sales goals for each recruitment team, and then delivering hands-on and off support to team leaders and individual consultants alike. As well as ensuring sales figures remain high, I work with each department manager to help them understand their cost centre and how to manage their group effectively and profitably. 2/ Collaboration with the department heads to determine client strategy, the effective marketing of the business and increasing market awareness of each of the individual GCS divisions. 3/ Heavy involvement in the professional development of all members of staff, from the recruitment rookies in the GCS Academy through to the senior consultants enrolled in the GCS Future Leaders Programme. The GCS Academy programme is something I first developed in 2002 and rolled out into the business. It has since evolved into an unparallelled introduction to the world of recruitment which, through providing a thorough grounding in all facets of the industry, offers new salespeople the very best chance of future success. Given GCS' status as Investors in People and three-time recipients of the Best Companies' 3 Star accreditation, we value professional development incredibly highly.
