• I consult in the fields of engineering, management and strategy.• I am registered as a professional engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa.• I have experience in electronic design, project management, systems engineering, management of multiple sections and the development of strategy and policy.• I retired with the rank of Deputy Director from the South African Air Force (SAAF) at the end of April 2016, where I managed the Engineering Services at, Air Force Base Waterkloof. • I practised as an engineer in design and project management in the defence sector prior to accepting employment with the SAAF, later managing their electronic engineering facility where engineering solutions to the organisation’s requirements are developed, qualified and certified. While in this role, I developed engineering processes and established a project management system for the monitoring of project progress and corrective actions. I enabled much of the project co-ordination to be performed by senior technicians, thus relieving the engineers of that workload.• I have developed models of aspects of life-cycle management and supply chain management within the context of asset management. • I developed technology strategies for the South African Air Force and Navy. I based these on a recursive, adaptive process that I developed.• I am therefore capable of developing strategy and implementing it in policy, plans, structures and processes to ensure the optimal use of organisation’s assets in achieving the objectives of the service delivery programmes.• I am a member of the International Council on System Engineering (INCOSE) and served as a member of the South African Chapter’s management committee during 2011.• I am a retired reserve force officer with the SA Navy, Commander D.H.
