As the Chief Architect for AI/ML and Infrastructure, I am responsible for all complex AI/ML, Generative AI or infrastructure projects, including architecture, strategy and oversight of the resulting project(s). I work with prospects and customers on AI and general cloud strategies, value realization and increasing the velocity by moving to Google Cloud.I led application migration projects to Google Cloud from AWS, Azure or on-prem/data center environments. Targets included Google Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL, Spanner, BigQuery and others.I helped migrate or convert multiple clients from non-GKE platforms to GKE Standard, Autopilot and Enterprise platforms, decreasing cost and increasing reliability of the solutions.Some of the more interesting projects I led: - Food production company's demand forecasting application: We reduced the error of forecasting by 40%. - Food production company's commodity trading platform: We implemented a platform to better predict price movements, reducing risk and increasing profit from market volatility. - Major transmission contractor: Created a photo processing and search capability, utilizing visual recognition to tag all processed photos, along with other meta data. - Major transmission contractor: RFP response agent - trained on many existing RFP responses, this agent helps its users more quickly create the responses, positioning the company in a better position to win business. - Battery manufacturer: Visual inspection AI increased battery quality by removing defects early in the build process. - Major cruise line: Created digital guest services chatbot that reduced waits onboard by 40% and proved invaluable during the impact of hurricane Helene.

Working in the Office of the CTO, I worked with our most complex solutions to solve critical business challenges for our customers. I also spoke at Google Cloud NEXT and at many events throughout the year to thousands of people from C-suite to developers. I helped several large enterprises adopt Edge Computing with AI models to meet stringent latency or compliance requirements.
