I started making movies when I got my hands on a mini-DV camcorder at age 15. I wrote screenplays and cast my friends for various roles in them. I wrote and directed my first film adaptation based on Aldous Huxley's novel "A Brave New World" during my senior year of high school. As a film major at Calvin College, I directed a mini-documentary about wedding videography and youth culture called "Relationship Status: Married," which played at the Calvin Media Showcase my senior year.Since then, I have been working for Gorilla Pictures and the Acton Institute as a video editor. At Gorilla Pictures, I have edited a documentary film about international soccer players called "The Prize: Under Pressure" and also a 7-part Christian DVD Series called "For The Life of The World." At Acton Institute, I have had the privilege to work on a feature-length documentary about global poverty called "PovertyCure," as well as various promotional videos for Acton University. I really enjoy working on freelance projects as well - anything from music videos to short narrative films, really anything that allows me to express my creativity. Please check out some examples of my video work below!
