Transactional and regulatory focused legal services to hospital systems and physician offices, including employment law, contract negotiation, HIPAA, counseling, and policies and procedures drafting. Concentrated in developing processes to maintain compliance within multiple layers of operational and regulatory frameworks. Special projects and experience include:• Lead counsel for the merger of three nonprofit hospital corporations, including the performance of all due diligence, updating all service agreements and provider enrollments in Medicare/caid, and updating state and federal licensures of medical clinics, suppliers, and pharmacy.• Co-Lead counsel in successfully representing hospital before Medical Review of North Carolina regarding Peer Review Organization hearing.• Attend open meetings of hospital authority and separate meetings of committees to provide guidance on matters such as public records and regulatory compliance.
