Complete a financial restructure of the company and propose a CVA Following an analysis of all finances and in particular the op-ex, I spearheaded a multi-faceted cost reduction programme. This included in the main, a reduction in the trading footprint, renegotiation of all services & suppliers and a round of redundancies. With the support of an IP firm I took the company into CVA that crystallized in November 20202. Conclude on a property deal on the rear of the site to a developer Brokered the introduction of an investor to the landlords that culminated in a successful multi-million pound STP property deal being exchanged in Nov 20213. Turn around the retail fortunes of this much-loved department storeSadly, given the gruelling retail climate over the COVID pandemic this was simply a step to far and as such I proposed to the board that we closed the store and from that point I managed a controlled sale of all assets and closure of the retail business
