Started building a cloud-based sports booking solution for sport clubs, which pivoted to a social network for racquet sport players. After facing some strong competition, last iteration of the product (letsplaypadel.com) has been online for one year but didn’t gain enough traction.

Building a promising mobile app: a city guide tailored to the user’s available time/budget/mood. I joined this startup in its early stage, contributing to its market research and business strategy. Worked with a small remote development team. Since the very first prototype, the production was driven by customer and end-user feedbacks. Deployed successfully for the city/area of Valence, achieving both growth and profit goals through A/B testing strategy. Initiated the expansion of the service to European capitals.

Took some personal time for family, travel and personal development. Meanwhile I stayed current on industry trends, acquired new skills on web & mobile development, followed entrepreneurship courses, got more involved in startup communities and connected with potential business partners.

Creation and development of the software production department: recruiting, coaching and training of engineers, managing the team (up to 20 programmers), and coordinating the production with other departments (art, design, sound, test, marketing, external teams). I had to deal with several kinds of team sizes and configurations, and each production came with its own challenges under the pressure of tight deadlines.In charge of technology strategies and decisions, initiated and led several R&D projects on complex technical domains (procedural roads, vehicle mechanics, body tracking, etc.), bringing innovation into our final products. I did set in motion agile and iterative methodologies (SCRUM) in the whole production process, convincing upper management and team members of the benefits of agile management. I acted as Scrum Master and Product Owner on different projects. We successfully produced (from concept to launch) a wide variety of 10+ videogame titles (a lot of racing titles, but also: sport, war, educational) for PC and video gaming consoles (Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo), from casual “time-to-market” titles to big-budget “AAA” titles.
