I started my professional career with Jones Lang Wootton where I practiced as a General Practice and Investment Surveyor in Europe and the United States before qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor then later as a building engineer specialising in property investment and proactive property management and cost reduction for corporate occupiers.I joined the family firm of C.Brocklehurst & Son Chartered Loss Adjusters in the late 1970s and qualified as a Chartered Insurance Practitioner, studied the Petroleum Industry at the University of Houston before establishing Brocklehurst Energy operations in Houston, Texas. I instigated the sale of Brocklehursts to Crawford & Company (CRWD A & B NYSE) in Nov. 1994, was appointed Chief Executive of Brocklehurst Miller Energy, became Chief Executive Officer of Brocklehurst Miller Global Technical Services upon the acquisition of Graham Miller & Co. and later Crawford-THG Technical Services (following the purchase of Thomas Howell Group) comprising the Energy, Construction, Marine, Contingency, Banking and Aviation Divisions. Served on the acquisition and integration team of GAB Robins and was appointed Consultant to Lloyd Warwick International, energy claims specialists 51% owned by Crawford. Launched proactive management and cost reduction systems including the disposal of surplus properties for Corporate Occupiers as a Consultant with Fraser Real Estate Ltd. I joined Global Risk Solutions Inc of Florida in Feb 2019 as a Director of Global Specialty Markets and opened a London office for their newly incorporated UK subsidiary to facilitate the launch of a global Cyber service offering alongside CAT claims management and environmental impairment claims .
